Our Bamboo Chasen is the traditional Japanese whisk that brings matcha to life, breaking up the powder and drawing air through it for a smooth, gently frothy cup.
Hand-cut from a single piece of bamboo into dozens of fine prongs, it is the one tool a proper bowl really depends on. More than a utensil, it asks you to slow down for the half a minute it takes to whisk by hand. Available in dark and light bamboo.
Before first use, soak the prongs in hot water for 10 minutes. Before each use, soak the prongs in warm water for 2 minutes to soften them. After each use, rinse with warm water and let it air dry.
